The foundation of Ramharipur Ramakrishna Mission High School was laid in 1941 with a heartfelt vision to spread the light of education in the rural landscape of Birrah village, in Bankura district. Born out of the noble ideals of Swami Vivekananda, and in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Ramharipur, the school began its journey by offering primary education to underprivileged children of the region.

In 1943, the school received formal recognition as a primary school, marking the beginning of a transformative educational journey. With consistent dedication and community support, the school grew step-by-step adding one class each year and nurturing the aspirations of rural students.
